The Country Club at Silver Springs Shores opened in 1969. The golf course was designed by legendary course architect, Desmond Muirhead. With its’ severe greens and water in play on 8 holes, The Country Club can provide a challenging test of golf to any skill level of player. Through the years, The Country Club has played host to numerous prestigious events, both professional and amateur. 2007 Masters Champion Zach Johnson holds the tournament course record, carding a 63 on his way to winning the Hooters Tour event held in the fall of 2001. Ted Potter, Jr. has the non-tournament course record of 61. In addition to providing challenging golf, The Country Club is also home to nearly every form of wildlife found in the state of Florida. Deer, wild turkey, alligators and bald eagles frequent the course. The Country Club at Silver Springs Shores is truly a great Florida Golf Experience!
